To celebrate our 25th Birthday, we wanted to bring Britain’s most-loved beverage to all of our fans and friends! We are of course talking about tea, and what better way to raise a cuppa to our British brand than with a fleet of vintage milk floats? In true Cath Kidston style, the milk floats have been decorated with four classic prints from our expansive print archive.
They include Provence Rose (first issued in 2009), Button Spot Red (first issued in 2002), Meadow Ditsy (first issued in 2016) and Birthday Rose, a pared-back, modern watercolour interpretation of our signature rose print, designed as part of our celebratory 25th Birthday collection.
This week, we’ve been travelling up and down the UK delivering fresh milk and tea packs to lucky households. Recipients were surprised by our convoy of four cheerfully printed milk floats and were treated to a complimentary 25th Birthday ‘Par-tea Bag’, containing all the essentials needed to make the perfect cuppa: tea bags, milk, sugar and of course a brand new Cath Kidston mug.
We stopped off in York and Cardiff for plenty of cuppas, and finished off in London. The milk floats were spotted on London’s Waterloo Bridge and Trafalgar Square, stopping along the way in residential streets to hand out the 25th Birthday ‘Par-tea Bags’ and brighten up people’s day.
The London sightings mark the end of our week-long tour for the Cath Kidston milk floats, but they’ll be popping up at a few of our store locations in the coming weeks. They have been to Covent Garden or Oxford Westgate on Saturday the 21st April.
