Looking for an easy way to brighten up the breakfast table – and beyond? Look no further than our new Spray Flowers china collection. It will bring a beautiful, pared-back new look to your home with easy, mix and match pieces that are made for modern living.
Fans of the brand might recognise recognise our classic Spray Flowers print, which first appeared on china in pretty pastel shades eight years ago. We’ve completely revamped this beloved floral for SS17 – in a nod to our Future Florals collection it’s been recoloured entirely in fresh blue tones. The new blue palette means it also nods to the past – it’s a modern take on traditional blue Delftware and willow pattern china. We’ve used the print minimally, with lots of white space. It’s scattered sparingly across the collection; wrapped elegantly over the brims of bowls and cups and interspersed with abstract, hand-painted blue lines and a delicate new ditsy that uses little blooms taken from Spray Flowers.
The Spray Flowers china collection was originally inspired by the art of Japanese dining, something that’s reflected in the elegant, versatile shapes, but these china pieces work just as well on European tables and also live beautifully beyond the dining table. Often Japanese meals consist of many different elements and flavours to be combined and consumed in small portions, and while the little round and rectangular dishes are made for rice, pickles, sushi and miso soup, they’re equally perfect for snacks, sides, salads and sauces, and for storing your keys, beauty bits and jewellery. A minimal cup with no handle that’s ideal for drinking green tea works just as well as a pot for pens, makeup brushes or cotton buds. All the pieces have a multitude of uses, and prices start at just £3.
We loved the look of the new shapes so much we decided to add some of our classic styles to complete the collection. There are generous bowls for pasta and breakfast, big mugs for a morning cuppa, dinner plates in two sizes, a classic teapot with teacups and saucers, plus matching textiles to brighten up the kitchen: aprons, tea towels and oven gloves. Each piece is sold individually so you can build a collection that suits your life and style. Spray Flowers china will also look great mixed with the kind of plain crockery you might already own – classic blue and white striped pieces would work well too. We hope you love this versatile, elegant collection as much as we do – cheers!
