It’s the time of the year that students absolutely adore… LOAN DROP! It’s always nice to have a bit more cash (and leave that emergency tin of baked beans at the back of the cupboard), but we know it can sometimes be hard to keep on top of things when you’re having to juggle rent, bills, your social life and more!
To help you along the way, we’re offering a whopping 20% off full-priced products in conjunction with UNiDAYS from the 14th to the 31st January. With fun prints across fab fashion, bedding, stationery, bags and homeware, it’s the perfect opportunity to brighten up your return to Uni (and stock up for your studies!). To redeem your discount, simply follow this link: www.cathkidston.com/students
We hope you enjoy our special 20% off offer, but just in case you feel like you’re struggling to make ends meet, we’ve popped our top 3 money-saving tips below…

1. LOOK AT YOUR OUTGOINGS
The first step is to note down everything you’ll definitely need to pay for that month (sorry – this step doesn’t include nights out!). Assess how much your rent, bills, food and travel will cost, and how much you will need in order to pay for each. Splitting your money into the weeks of the month can also help you understand how much you have to work with, meaning it’s easier to keep track of your expenses!
2. MONEY MANTRA
After noting down all the important stuff, take a look at the added extras you’d like to do that month – whether it’s budgeting for nights out or new clothes, get it on the list! This will help you decide whether the purchase is necessary. By saving yourself some money each month, you will have enough to treat yourself (try our new in!)
3. MEAL PLANNING
Say hello to your new best friend – the shopping list! It may seem like a chore but planning out your meals for the week will save you time AND money! By sussing out what you need from the supermarket in advance, you’ll be able to cut down on waste by only buying food you know you’re going to eat. Another top tip is to batch cook meals like bolognaise and soup. Cheap but nutritious, all you need to do is whip it up, pop some portions in the freezer and you’ll save yourself a trip to the supermarket later in the month!
“I always make sure to meal plan at the beginning of the week so I know I’m not wasting any food, it also prevents those impulsive buys that all add up! Olivia – Brand Ambassador”
We hope these tips will help you brighten up your budget this semester. And don’t forget, if you miss our 20% off offer, we still have 10% off for students all year round here at Cath Kidston.*T&Cs apply
