This season we’ve all gone fishing at Cath Kidston. ‘Swimming’ with our fresh and outdoorsy SS15 theme, we headed from the Cotswolds wildflower meadows to the rivers and streams nearby to look for more design ideas. The fishy friends we made there inspired a new novelty print – River Fish. The stylish graphic artwork nods to the traditional posters depicting different fish you might see behind a fishmonger’s counter and was also inspired by native English trout. Our rainbow-coloured fish swim through swaying seaweed fronds, blowing little bubbles as they go.

We love this fresh and summery print, so our friendly fish are a-swimming all across the collection. Serve fishies on little dishies with printed melamine pieces, our favourite novelty oven gauntlet and fine china cups and saucers; and make a big splash in the bathroom with matching towelling and washbags.

Like to mix and match? We’ve also designed several mono versions of River Fish in colours taken from the hero multi print that look simply swimming together. They’re available as fabric by the metre for crafting cushions, cloths, curtains and more. The same shades appear throughout the collection in other key designs like Painted Daisy and Wicker, so you can combine your favourite prints with confidence.

There’ll be no need to fish for compliments when wearing our cool River Fish fashion – catch the eye in cool cotton skirts and dresses worn with slouchy canvas totes. Chic River Fish Mono cover ups in nautical navy are made from lightweight towelling for drying off after a dip in the pool, sea or river, of course. Jump right in!
