The annual Pride in London parade is just around the corner, taking place on 6th July at 12pm, where London streets will be filled with thousands of cheery people coming together to celebrate and stand for the rights of LGBTQ+ people.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots of 1969, which paved the way for equality and drove forward the LGBTQ+ rights movement as we know it today, changing the LGBTQ+ rights movement forever.
We are delighted to announce that we are proudly donating to Britain’s leading charity fighting for lesbian, gay, bi and trans equality, Stonewall. This year celebrating their 30th birthday, they work in partnership with an uplifting network of 800 different organisations, with an aim to create a brighter and equal future for all LGBTQ+ people. Stonewall run powerful campaigns to abolish homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia, and encourage LGBTQ+ communities to proudly be who they are.
In support of Stonewall & the Pride celebrations over summer, our ever creative Visual Merchandising design team created a one of a kind window display, inspired by the iconic Stonewall protestors signs and banners. The Cath Kidston Pride display will travel across the country, spreading LGBTQ+ cheer and encouraging people to freely be themselves.
Spread the positive LGBTQ+ message and brighten up your day by coming along to view our Cath Kidston Pride rainbow visual displays. Starting in Piccadilly this week on 2nd July until 8th of July. Before travelling to Brighton, from 29th July to 5th August, and Manchester from 19th August to 26th August.
Here at Cath Kidston, we are always welcoming people from all communities, and are dedicated to inclusiveness and equality, encouraging all people to embrace who they are.
